#25: Pokemon Ash Meets Evil Dead Ash Versus Bunny, or Garrett Can't Draw People.
I drew this warbly Ash-mash-up, my friend Seth Williams drew the bunny. This is at least five years old. I haven't made a serious attempt at drawing a human being in all the years hence, because I realized that I was proud of this one. You think about that. I was proud...of that.
Omar once said that I have an very good eye for detail, but absolutely no sense of perspective or artistic ability. I'm working on those things, but for now I'll just be happy with my eye for detail.

No idea what this is about. I was sitting in class next to a friend of mine who's a devout Catholic and we frequently trade barbs about each others' denomination, often getting into shouting matches solely to watch the reactions of people around us. But this doesn't really seem like an insult to me. It's really just kinda...bizarre.

#15 Ultimate Battle
Part of this project is about me trying to force myself to generate new output, and part of it is about me trying to put out things I've had laying around for awhile. Those two goals are sort of at odds with each other. I was fascinated with fetuses for awhile, particularly with how cute they were and how much they look like shrimp. I have a lot of pictures floating around of fetuses dressed as gangsters, plumbers, royalty, pimps, Wild-West sheriffs, Zorro, martial-arts masters, etc. I'm not sure if they'll show up here or not; I'm not as fascinated as I used to be, but who knows...

#13: Robot Car
Well, I have an illustrated narrative class that I need to show progress in, so I'm going to update more frequently in the next couple of weeks to make up for being out of town last week and for my pitiful showing in March. That may mean more old material, including Mr. Robot Guy, especially since I have a hard time taking this seriously when other things like schoolwork intrude. Why do I do that? Because I like this, that's why. Which means that it can't be as important, right?

What I'm looking for in a comic strip made by me.
So, the comic is coming, but I find myself tied up with character sketches. I'm actually putting effort into the way that it looks! Not that anyone who sees it will be able to tell. The fact that I do it very hurriedly (because I want it to look that way) and that I do it in pen makes it hard to get it right, because one mistake and I have to start all over, a process which leads to what I call "artistic compromises" or "forced creativity." I do want it to look spontaneous - optimally, it will be spontaneous - but at the same time, I want peoples' hair to look cool. So, I thought that I would experiment with preliminary work, and it's been interesting, but it's also been taking time.

This is really old and rough, but I thought I'd throw it up anyway because you can get the general idea. I will try to avoid posting things with text on the other side of the paper in the future.
